Nolden Residence
This California Modern post and beam home is a picture perfect example of the “Entenza Years”.
Designed and built by architect James Allen Walter in 1965. The building materials are wood and glass. Nestled on a hillside in Saint Frances heights, the house boasts 17’ modern windows with westerly views that create the grand façade of the architecture. Also referred to as the tree house, the rustic interior is designed with 1960’s organic furnishings such as an authentic Noguchi table by Herman Miller, Brown-Saltman sideboard, Cubism artworks and colorful decorative arts and ceramics.
