Ron Woodson, named one of House Beautiful’s Top Young Designers for 2005, is a Los Angeles-based design talent with an unusual mix of skills. He uses both sides of his brain resulting in a unique ability to combine experienced business acumen and a high level of design creativity.
“I relish the challenge of working with clients in order to craft a workable solution that is simply beautiful yet meets their design needs” says Woodson. “I strive to understand their comfort zones, what excites and delights them, and what soothes them. I design to compliment their lifestyle.”
Woodson began his professional creative career as an art consultant and custom framer. Art is always a key design feature of his work, which resulted in such high-profile hospitality clients as the Four Seasons, the Ritz-Carlton, Beverly Hills Hotel and the new Montage in Laguna Beach. The results are near perfection.
The creative arts first inspired Woodson when, as a child, he attended art classes at the Los Angeles Museum of Art. Years later, he graduated with Finance degree from California State University Los Angeles and also studied at UCLA’s Architecture and Interior Design program.
Woodson received critical praise from designers and writers for the beautiful personal spaces he created. He combines his passion for travel with a collector’s eye and has acquired beautiful pieces of art and furnishings from around the world. To Woodson, the world is a magical design source.
Woodson feels the synergy between Jaime Rummerfield and himself is also a work of magic. |
